Still Life, Meaningful Objects
My mother’s old cocktail dress hanging on the wall in place of a painting, a tray of figs at an outdoor market - each fruit carefully set down to tempt the passerby, the varied forms of the handcrafted chairs in a desert compound in Morocco, a grid - a kind of ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ of someone’s favourite things.
Objects hold stories and evoke memories of people, places and times past.
